Dress a box (Fabric Box)

Owning a house requires a lot of organising skill. While trying to enjoy organising my art materials, I actually decorate my own storage box to beautify my art room. It is cheap, easy and simple to make.

Materials
  • Pen Knife
  • Double sided tape (can be replaced with spray glue, glue gun, etc)
  • Fabric
  • Recycle box

Step 1.
Cut a opening at the centre of the box so that you can easy retrieve the box from shelve.

Step 2.
Tape the box with double sided tape. Ensure the tape is wrap around the box to better secure the fabric

Step 3.
Wrap the fabric around the box. Do note to cut the fabric according to the dimension of the box.

Step 4.

At the bottom of the box, fold the fabric inward (similar to wrapping a gift box). Tape the edge of the fabric and secure it to the box.

Step 5.

At the top of the box, fold the fabric inside the box. Cut the fabric if need to.

Tape the edge of the box to secure the fabric.

Step 6.
Using pen knife (or scissor) to cut the fabric at the opening. Cut according to the picture A.

Inside the box, tape the fabric and secure it.

Pinwheel

I am very inspired by pinwheels cause they so pretty for wedding. I was too late to found out that I can actually handmade my own pinwheel for my own wedding. So, I hope this tutorial benefit your wedding, party or function.

1.
Gather the materials:
  • Pattern Paper (8 inches / 20cm)
  • Ruler
  • Scissor
  • Pen
  • Board Pin
  • Soft Wooden Stick
2.

Draw 2 straight lines that intersect at the centre of the pattern paper. The point where both lines intersect will be here you will be placing your board pin.

3.

Mark on the lines where 2 lines are measured about 5 cm apart. Continue till all sides are marked.

4.

Cut the pattern paper along the line and stop at the point where you have marked at step 3. Continue till all sides are cut.

5.

Fold alternate sides to the centre of the paper. Pin the sharp edges with the board pin and punch it to the wooden stick. You may use glue gun to attach the pin firmly to the wooden stick.

My First Love- Flower Ball

I am in LOVE with Flower Ball.

It so special that it beats the traditional flower bouquet and so beautiful for wedding decoration. I believe all wedding couples would love to hear this, DIYing a flower ball is CHEAP and EASY!
So I decided to try out myself and share my very own Flower Ball DIY.

Here are the steps to make a flower ball

1.
Gather the materials:
  • Styrofoam ball  (approximately 12 cm diameter)
  • White Glue
  • Artificial Flowers (approximately 15 to 20 flowers)
  • Glass stand (I am using a dessert glass cup)

2.
Apply glue to the root of the flower. Make sure you apply more glue so that it will hold to the Styrofoam ball.

3.
Poke the root into the Styrofoam ball. Make sure that the flower is secure to the Styrofoam ball

Continue step 2 and 3 until the surface of the Styrofoam ball is cover with the flower. Do leave a small amount of space that allow the flower ball to be place on the glass stand.

Simple, isn't it. Try now! =)
